The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration by managing relationships with new and existing assigned customers. Key responsibilities include executing promotional strategies introducing new products resolving customer issues delivering training and supporting dealer business development. This role emphasizes customer service excellence and effective use of company sales tools and systems. The Territory Manager conducts both in-person and remote customer engagements independently and alongside the Sales Manager and provides ongoing insights on market competition and territory trends.
Duties & Responsibilities Customer Interaction - Delivers exceptional customer service through timely proactive communication.
- Resolves issues effectively or escalates them as needed ensuring efficient follow-up.
- Communicates with customers via sales calls phone email text fax and mail.
- Escalates customer concerns to appropriate personnel or vendors when necessary.
- Collaborates with internal teams to resolve issues promptly and foster strong business relationships.
- Approaches customer and peer interactions with a solution-oriented mindset.
Territory Sales Activities & Performance
- Meets or exceeds revenue targets for overall sales equipment sales new business and equipment-related new business.
- Drives new account growth and fosters strong customer relationships within the assigned territory.
- Expands sales penetration with existing customers through consistent relationship management.
- Maintains monthly communication with assigned accounts regarding products promotions company updates training and performance.
- Supports vendor goals and sales initiatives.
- Conducts regular cold calls to build and sustain a healthy customer pipeline.
- Develops and manages opportunity pipelines aligned with new business targets.
- Effectively closes sales opportunities and delivers well-structured persuasive sales presentations.
- Confidently presents to large groups and adapts messaging to the audience.
- Advises customers on business growth strategies including sales processes pricing financials and financing options.
- Administrative
- Maintains strong organization discipline and follow-through on all administrative tasks.
- Submits accurate mileage and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Maintains up-to-date and organized email distribution lists for all dealer segments.
- Accurately schedules appointments using the company CRM system.
Marketing
- Promotes marketing programs to customers including promotions flyers specials and training initiatives.
- Maintains expertise in vendor marketing programs and promotional support.
- Assists with planning and execution of annual Dealer Meetings.
- Conducts pricing studies and communicates dealer pricing and price sheets as needed.
- Products
- Demonstrates knowledge of company product lines with proficiency and detail.
- Maintains a personal library of sales and technical materials for all product lines.
Accounting
- Assists in collection of outstanding accounts receivable when directed.
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounts receivable records in the ERP and how to search for information.
Other - Safety Sensitive Position: the ability to perform job functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent and some college coursework in Business or related field.
- 3 or more years experience in sales or business to business selling role.
- 3 or more years experience of working knowledge of appliance parts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
- Proficient in using office technology including computers photocopiers scanners phone systems and virtual meeting platforms as required for daily responsibilities.
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent and a Bachelors degree in business or related field.
- 5 or more years experience with Appliance parts sales and related functions.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This position may require up to 4043 hours per week and involves regular physical activity including:
- Regular bending lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs.
- Prolonged use of fingers hands and arms to perform office/computer work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting for up to 8 hours daily.
- Periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Regular use of hearing and speech for phone and in-person communication up to 6 hours daily.
- Frequent use of office equipment including computers phones and scanners up to 8 hours daily.
- Visual requirements include close distance color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
