Position Summary
Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who maintains Medical Records for the clinical areas acting as a liaison between external customers and the patients and staff internally.
Analyzes the assembled record for chart completion deficiencies in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical staff rules and regulations.
Ensures any deficiencies are assigned to the appropriate medical staff member and data is entered for tracking and monitoring purposes.
Reviews documentation and updates or clears the deficiencies as appropriate.
Responsible for all in-coming faxes scans paperwork in EMR and assigns in electronic record.
Responsible for answering telephone calls and assisting visitors (including but not limited to physicians patients and their family members) while maintaining confidentiality.
Purges medical records for storage and retrieves medical records from storage as needed.
Pulls charts for next day and scans appropriate documents for scheduled visits; files charts back in main file after scanning.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
Prior Medical Office experience X Preferred
