The Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention. Processes images on appropriate archival systems. Participates in performance improvement activities in the department. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Requires active ARDMS status and previous ultrasound experience.
This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs. The position works 8 hour shifts.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $77.74 - $96.64 (Hourly Rate).

OR New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.

The Radiology Department is a specialty medical service that offers a wide range of imaging techniques to diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions.
At UCSF Medical Center we offer the full spectrum of techniques using the most advanced equipment. Combined with Bone Densitometry CT Interventional Mammography MRI Nuclear Medicine PET Ultrasound and X-ray. We perform more than 500000 procedures annually. In fact a number of radiology advancements and applications were developed here.
