- Sandcastle Playgroup Limited C/O Castle Manor Academy Haverhill Suffolk CB9 9JE
- 13.44 per hour
- Full time Monday Friday 8am 4.00pm 42 weeks per year (pro rata)
- Fixed term contract for 1 year initially
- Reference: 0254
- Required as soon as possible
We are a term time only playgroup working 38 weeks per year.
Your role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator with a level 3 or above to join our team. As an Early Years Educator you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. Your main responsibility will be to support the development and well-being of children aged 2-5 years old.
Your responsibilities
- to work as part of the team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote cognitive physical social and emotional development
- create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- provide Individualised care and support to meet the unique needs of each child
- collaborate with parents and carers to ensure open communication and partnership in their childs learning journey
- monitor and assess childrens progress
- foster positive relationships with children families and colleagues
- adhere to health safety and hygiene standards at all times.
You will need:
- a minimum of a level 3 relevant early childhood education certification required
- previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- strong communication skills both verbal and written
- the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- patience empathy and a genuine love for working with children.

Sandcastle Playgroupis a term-time only playgroup open 38 weeks of the year from 8.30am until 3.30pm. We provide care from 2 years old until our children leave for primary school. Our aim is to provide the best care and education to the children in our playgroup family.
