You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs the primary interface between senior managers of the service and front-line staff you will be required to support two-way communication through the organisational hierarchy oversee the day-to-day management of the community service and work closely with other Nurse Managers Nurse Unit Managers multidisciplinary teams and the Director of Nursing.
About the role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Manager with the ability to: lead direct and co-ordinate client care; ensure the practice of nursing is safe and efficient maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvement initiatives; lead and coordinate the nursing and multidisciplinary care team and monitor and manage the business and management functions and processes of the service. As the leader the Nurse Manager will demonstrate her/his capability through attitude skills behaviour and attributes namely: broad nursing experience and knowledge; understanding and acceptance that clients are the central focus of service delivery; professional integrity; ethical conduct; accountability; advocacy; enabling others; cultivation of collaborative relationships and effective teamwork; commitment to advancing the profession of nursing and care provision.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about nursing with the ability to connect with a wide range of people. Working within a supportive team you will have the opportunity to lead inspire and make a lasting impact on the community services staff and consumers.
Working within the Excellence Framework and Orientation Guidelines the successful candidate would be provided with education and training needs as required to enable them to undertake the role successfully. The manager will have regular Monthly Accountability Meetings with the Greater Newcastle & Lower Hunter Director of Nursing. Specific education and professional development requirements will be discussed with the successful applicant during 30- and 90-day conversations.
