Description

General Duties and Essential Functions:

  1. Clerical Related
    • Coordinate the insurance verification process for all patients on caseload.
    • Track and coordinate all authorizations and treatment restrictions by various insurance programs.
    • Responsible to close out charts when patient discontinue from caseload to ensure all required documentation is present.
    • File all therapy documentation.
    • Assists with coordinating patient treatment schedules.
    • Monitor and complete Quarterly Purchase Order under the direction and supervision of the Administrator.
    • Coordinates faxes through Raintree and tracks all physician signatures to ensure return.
    • Coordinates the EOM process with the Administrator to ensure timely and accurate if necessary.
    • Notify Administrator and Billing Specialist of any issues with documentation or billing noted including late documentation missing parts or billing errors if necessary.
    • Coordinates with county employees for collaboration of services in Birth to Three.
    • Assists with monthly monitoring of pest control department meeting minutes infection control.
    • Prints schedules daily to monitor billing and payments use in emergency procedures as needed to safely account for all clients and therapists in the building.
    • Monitor documentation compliance (recert logs I35 PA submission)
    • Tracks emails voicemails and all department communication to ensure operations run smoothly.

  1. Patient care related
    • Ensure patients are having an exceptional experience.
    • Assist therapists and assistants as requested including but not limited to retrieving needed therapy materials cleaning equipment or areas in the therapy department monitoring or assisting with treatment.
    • Ensure no patient is left unattended in the department area prior during and after therapy treatment.
    • Maintain a clean orderly therapy gym area in compliance with policies. Cleaning toys. Vacuuming washing dishes completing laundry and cleaning the clinic. Coordinate with outside cleaners for weekly cleaning.
    • Clean and monitor equipment used in therapy to ensure working order per policy.
    • Perform duties as assigned by therapists or assistants.

  1. Other Responsibilities
    • Performs cleaning of department equipment as needed to ensure infection control policies are observed.
    • Maintain an accurate department inventory and coordinate any changes with the Agency office.
    • Responsible to abide by the policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude to all staff and family members to reflect philosophy of operation.
    • Complete tasks within the identified working hours determined on a quarterly basis by RR Administration.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Administrator or RR Management Team.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

Physical Characteristics:

  • Have ability to lift at least 40 pounds using appropriate biomechanical techniques push wheelchairs frequently (multiple times per hour/per day) throughout the course of an eight (8) hour day and have the ability to walk bend stand and reach safely and independently during that same day.
  • Have ability to speak hear and see (near and far) sufficiently enough to evaluate diagnose and monitor patient needs maintain accurate records recognize people provide directions drive to various sites identify pieces of equipment and communicate with patients and team members.
  • Have fine motor skills to effectively and efficiently handle therapeutic equipment and document treatment provided on electronic devices.
  • Have endurance to work eight-hour days with a half hour lunch break. Ability to participate in sustained activity for up to four hours at a time.
