Job Description
A private label retailer is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Development Specialist to manage and support the development and sourcing of new products. This role plays a critical part in bringing products from concept to production by working closely with suppliers manufacturers and internal teams to ensure quality efficiency and alignment with brand standards.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept through final production
Source components and materials from domestic and international suppliers ensuring quality price competitiveness and timely delivery
Coordinate with manufacturers to oversee prototyping testing and production timelines
Monitor and track project progress identifying risks and implementing solutions to avoid delays
Collaborate with internal teams including design marketing and operations to ensure alignment throughout the development process
Maintain up-to-date documentation including technical specs cost breakdowns and vendor communications
Ensure all products meet brand standards and compliance requirements
Support product improvement initiatives based on market feedback and performance data
Ideal Qualifications:
Proven experience in product development sourcing or supply chain coordination
Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with manufacturers and vendors
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with manufacturing or product-based environments is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and product tracking tools
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced product environment and enjoys bringing ideas to life from the ground up.
Salary: $100k - $150k/Year
