Caterpillar Inc. seeks Application DBA at its facility located at 501 SW Jefferson Ave Peoria IL 61605.
Manage all database related activities including data maintenance data extraction and migration API database related scripting and development. Work on complex application and technical problem identification and resolution including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls. Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. Drive application development focused around delivering business valuable features. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development debugging and testing of application software for accuracy integrity interoperability and completeness. Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components requiring careful planning and execution to ensure timely quality results. Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time. Telecommuting: up to 4 days per week.
REQS: This position requires a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field plus 4 years of experience as a database administrator or related occupation in database administration.
Additionally the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) LIMS type data/processes related to database activities; (2) Deploying and maintaining software using public clouds such as AWS or Azure; (3) Working within an Agile framework (Scrum); (4) SQL Development Oracle Postgres databases; (5) Moving databases to active region in case of disaster recovery; (6) Database security schemes; (7) Writing stored procedures functions and scheduled jobs per business requirements.

Summary Pay Range:
$110520.00 - $165840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
