Diagnostic Imaging Technician:
ECoVets Veterinary Specialists and ER is a Privately and Family-owned veterinary hospital inbeautiful Saint Augustine Florida. We are seeking a full-time diagnostic imaging technician. Weare fully equipped with brand new diagnostic imaging devices including 128-slice CTfluoroscopic C-arm digital radiographs ultrasound and will get an MRI.
The primary role of the Technician is to support the veterinary radiologist and doctors with theirimage acquisitions including ultrasonography echocardiography radiographs ComputedTomography (CT) and will be trained in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The Diagnostic ImagingTechnician provides support for the hospital by producing quality imaging while maintainingexcellent patient care. The specialty technician would be responsible for teaching othertechnicians and staff to perform imaging scans.
The technician would also be responsible for maintaining radiation safety including dosimeterbadges cleanliness of the radiology areas and equipment as well as maintaining inventory andstock. Depending on the hospital needs and case load the technician may assist other servicessurgery emergency neurology) in the hospital.
Applicants should be passionate about caring for animals and owners possess excellentcommunication skills being proactive in determining the needs of the hospital enjoy learningnew skills and being a team player. A good base knowledge of veterinary medicine would bewarranted.

-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Encouraged to have completed of a veterinary certification program or equivalent experience
-Previous experience as a veterinary technician particularly small animal species
-Knowledge of small animal anesthesia and sedation techniques and monitoring
- Strong understanding of animal behavior anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail being a team player ability to collaborate with others
