Founded in 1926 Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in Glendale California. The hospital offers a full complement of services including its award winning heart center the colorectal surgery institute a gastrointestinal program and is a Los Angeles County approved primary stroke center. The hospital shares a legacy of humankindness with Dignity Health one of the nations five largest health care systems.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of nursing services within the healthcare organization. The CNO ensures the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care while aligning nursing practices with the organizations mission vision and values.

In this role you will lead nursing operations develop forward-thinking strategies and ensure the highest quality of care while collaborating with executive leadership to shape the future of healthcare.
- Develop and implement nursing strategies and initiatives.
- Oversee daily nursing operations and patient care services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with other executive leaders to drive organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of excellence innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage nursing budgets and resource allocation.
- Lead recruitment retention and development of nursing staff.
- Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelors and Masters degrees in Nursing or related field.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations quality metrics and best practices in California
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience working with California unions
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and operational performance.
- Experience in a large hospital or health system preferred.
