The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.
1. CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
Analyze maintenance reports from the various hotel departments; review hotel occupancy room blockages and type of breakdown; plan and prioritize repairs to be carried out by the team under your supervision and monitor the proper completion of these repairs; analyze recurring malfunctions in hotel facilities and equipment propose appropriate solutions to the Maintenance Manager and follow up on them as needed; identify and assess anomalies in buildings and installations especially in newly opened hotels or during major renovations report these to the Construction Department and monitor the progress of repairs; contact external vendors evaluate offers and suggest the most appropriate one to the Maintenance Manager; monitor maintenance material inventory and control expenses to ensure proper repair of hotel facilities and equipment.
2. CONDUCTIVE MAINTENANCE
Plan supervise and conduct periodic follow-up of conductive maintenance activities carried out by the team under your supervision; also oversee the proper condition of facilities (air conditioning projector computer others) in event rooms and repair any faults if necessary to ensure compliance with regulations and guarantee the proper functioning of the hotels systems and equipment.
3. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Plan supervise and ensure the proper execution of preventive maintenance tasks assigned to the team under your supervision as well as technical and legal maintenance tasks carried out by external contractors; monitor or supervise compliance with safety and occupational risk prevention measures by your team; verify and supervise proper climate control and temperature in public areas common spaces and guest rooms; and ensure proper lighting schedules are maintained to prevent incidents breakdowns and accidents as well as ensure the optimal operation of hotel facilities and equipment.
4. BUILDING CONSERVATION
Plan and periodically review the condition and proper functioning of installations throughout guest rooms meeting rooms common areas and the building as a whole.
Minimum Qualification: Higher or Intermediate Vocational Training (Formacin Profesional Grado Superior / Medio)
Experience: 2 to 3 years

Residence: Within the province of the job vacancy
Industrial training and/or professional license as an installer/maintenance technician in electricity HVAC or gas. Degree in electricity/electronics. A Technical Industrial Engineering degree is a plus.
Essential: Minimum of 5 years experience in managing and supervising comprehensive building maintenance.
Required knowledge of current regulations for buildings open to the public ideally gained in a hotel with similar size and operational characteristics.
IT skills: MS Office (user level)
Other technical knowledge: Experience in team management and procurement/purchasing.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Team leadership and management experience.
