About the Role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with a strong background in acoustics and digital signal processing to join our team in Northridge. In this role you will help define and manage technical requirements for cutting edge audio systems across consumer and embedded platforms. Youll collaborate cross functionally from concept through validation ensuring that our products deliver exceptional acoustic performance and meet customer expectations.

What You Will Do

• Partner with the North American HEA sales team to serve as technical point of contact preparing and delivering technical presentations and demos to potential customers.
• Gather and document product requirements from customers with an emphasis on transducer behavior tuning targets and use case constraints.
• Support system-level architecture from microphone and speaker placement to DSP block definition.
• Define and track acoustic/DSP-related requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Own the operation and development of the anechoic chamber and acoustics lab including test plan execution and equipment readiness.
• Participate in technical reviews root cause analysis and issue resolution for audio-related defects.
• Create reusable acoustic tuning profiles test templates and measurement standards to improve process and streamline early-stage customer evaluations.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Engineering Acoustics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in end-to-end product development.
• Hands on Experience working with Audio system components including microphones transducers amplifiers and digital signal processing (DSP) hardware and software; as well as audio testing and measurement techniques.
• Demonstrable experience systems level tradeoffs between mechanical design feature integration and audio performance.
• Experience working in HATS Audio Precision and/or SoundCheck systems for acoustic testing.
• Working knowledge of communication protocols (i.e. USB Bluetooth WiFi I2S SPDIF I2C SPI UART) as well as audio codecs streaming protocols and audio file formats.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills including Customer-facing sales as well as highly technical discussions.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Hands on experience designing or optimizing physical test environments for accurate acoustic measurement.
• End-to-end product development Consumer electronics preferred.
• Hands-on experience with acoustic simulation tools (eg: COMSOL).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Previous experience supporting large corporations with technical expertise is preferred.

• Be open to working in the Northridge CA office (hybrid option available; flexibility to come into the office on short notice when needed is appreciated).
• Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
