Job Description

Responsibilities

Noblis is helping FAA manage large and complex telecommunications and information management programs that use state of the art technologies to deliver enterprise infrastructure services essential to the safe and efficient operation of the largest safest and most complex aviation system in the world. In this position you will provide cybersecurity engineering and architecture expertise and solutioning to the FAA Telecommunications Integrated Services (TIS) organization across a variety of critical network and communication infrastructure programs implemented across a combination of on-premise and cloud-enabled environments. You will work with FAA system engineers across a range of organizations FAA system owners and system integrators and solution providers to provide objective evaluations and recommendations of security solutions evaluate alignment to federal and FAA-specific security policies and requirements and provide project management oversight of technical refresh and system integration efforts to maintain the integrity of the National Airspace System (NAS).

  • Provide project management and coordination expertise to support critical infrastructure upgrades ensuring stakeholder understanding critical path tasking and impact analysis
  • Provide process improvement expertise to streamline the security integration aspect of system migration from legacy telecommunications to Internet Protocol (IP)
  • Support the coordination development and enhancements of cyber security solutions between FAA enterprise infrastructure solution providers (including network security and cloud service providers) and other FAA cyber security programs/organizations.
  • Support FAA efforts with the evaluation review definition and recommendations on defense-in-depth security architectures enabling Zero Trust CONOPS; assessment of the impact of proposed technologies (like NFV and SD-WANs); analysis of system and network security concepts; and validation of system level solutions and alternatives.
  • Review and advise FAA on vendor-proposed network and security architecture solutions in accordance with the contract specification and FAA policy.
  • Review/comment on vendors Contract Deliverables (CDRLS); participates in team reviews of comment adjudication.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years FAA experience working with an FAA cybersecurity or FAA security engineering team to ensure proposed National Airspace System (NAS) system changes adhere to existing FAA policies security standards and best practices.
  • Experience coordinating among a large number of stakeholders and managing communication with senior leadership
  • Experience with NIST FISMA and FIPS Compliance
  • Experience leading and guiding evaluations of new and emerging technologies such as: Zero Trust Architecture Software- Defined Networking Security Orchestration and policies for their applicability to assist in strengthening the overall security posture of large-scale enterprise with safety-critical operations.
  • Strong technical verbal and written skills.


Required Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience


Required Clearance Level:

  • Must hold Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Capable of successfully obtaining up to DoD Secret clearance issued by the federal government which will require U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contract-specific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
