Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

PAXLOVID is the leading antiviral treatment globally for patients diagnosed with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 who are at high risk for severe disease. PAXLOVID continues to be one of the most important innovations in pharmaceutical history and has launched in 81 countries with 31 million patients treated globally.

The evolving nature of COVID-19 and the expected entry of new antiviral treatment options over time has resulted in the growing need to continuously communicate the latest evidence supporting the value of PAXLOVID. The role provides a unique opportunity to support the ongoing global delivery of a breakthrough medicine in a post-pandemic state.

The PAXLOVID Global Brand Director HCP Lead will report to the Global Antiviral Lead.

This is a position with global scope that will collaborate very closely with medical GAV and US and ICO regional teams in order to shape the HCP strategy and execute the global promotional plan for PAXLOVID. The role requires strong strategic thinking executional excellence and experience in fostering extraordinary partnerships with cross functional colleagues around the world.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The PAXLOVID Global Director HCP Lead will have role responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and execute the Global Promotional Campaign
  • Ensure the evolution of a strong differentiated branded HCP message platform
  • Lead the development of Creative campaign and the Global Brand tactics including HCP promotional programs including but not exclusive to core Sales aid leave-behind pieces dosing guides Q&A and FAQ documents. Ensure timely delivery of the associated content and materials to markets.
  • Ensure robust KPIs are developed for all promotional initiatives that can be utilized by the markets
  • Support the development of the digital / omnichannel strategy for the assets ensuring upmost compliance.
  • Establish strong working relationships with US and ICO regional teams to garner insights on executional excellence and evolve the strategy accordingly
  • Contribute to the creation of a clear Global Brand Strategy for PAXLOVID in partnership with the US and ICO regional teams
  • Constantly look for ways to innovate in our communication approach leveraging internal resources to deliver best-in-class messages to a broad range of customers (including use of all available channels).
  • Support the execution of market shaping marketing materials and creative omni-channel execution in a cost-effective way
  • Approach all tasks with integrity and operates in compliance with applicable laws and company policies at all times.
  • Support the development of culture and behaviors mindset and capabilities needed to reinforce the role of Pfizer as a leader in the fight against COVID-19

CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Actively work with US and ICO Regional teams to lead content co-creation
  • Ensure any resources developed are aligned with and adaptable globally and duplications are minimized at local market level

AGENCY MANAGEMENT

  • Work closely with global creative agency to develop messages and concepts in close coordination with medical & legal and collaboration with US and ICO Regional teams
  • Support the management of agency performance budget and ensure tracking and meeting of milestones.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS - degree required
  • Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical experience with broad knowledge of the industry and healthcare environment
  • Robust prior brand marketing experience at a Global/Regional and country level
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working across cultures and partnering with colleagues who represent a diverse selection of experiences and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams in complex matrix environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead large and diverse cross-functional teams and country teams
  • Strong strategic skills including effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g. new competition shifting market environment) and the ability to navigate complex and rapid-changing environments
  • Understands trends in health care and pharmaceuticals; customer and stakeholder landscape competitive dynamics sources of business in the US and/or developed markets.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively within teams and across organizations and enterprise; shares responsibilities and credit; take appropriate risks; celebrates/rewards accomplishments; demonstrates and instils in others a sense of urgency and ownership
  • Prioritization: Ability to prioritize asset/assets priorities value drivers and resource allocation required to optimize growth.
  • Agility: Insists upon sharing and cross-pollination of ideas. Demonstrated ability to decide / plan with limited information available and propose alternative scenarios or mitigation strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Anti-Virals CV/Metabolics and/or Womens Health experience is highly preferred
  • Prior US experience

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • International Travel 15-25%

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
