The Role
Were looking for a skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer to contribute to the development and implementation of scalable software solutions. Youll work with modern programming languages frameworks and architectures to build robust systems. As a key team member youll collaborate on technical initiatives receive mentorship and tackle challenging software problems. This position is considered a hybrid/ remote position (must be within Ohio Massachusetts Tennessee Oregon or Texas) with some travel to the Dayton Ohio office on an as needed basis.
Essential Responsibilities
Software Development & Engineering
Design develop and integrate software solutions across the development lifecycle with guidance from senior engineers.
Develop and optimize multi-language software systems primarily using C/C Python Java and Rust.
Build and maintain full-stack applicationsleveragingJavaScript UI frameworks (React Redux Angular)andbackend technologies (Python Rust).
- Write efficient high-quality code following Agile methodologies ensuring maintainability and scalability.
System Improvement and Support
- Collaborate on enhancing usability performance and security of existing software solutions.
- Assist in debugging profiling and troubleshooting software applications with support from senior team members.
- Contribute to modernizing legacy systems to improve maintainability and scalability.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with test teams to integrate and resolve defects.
- Receive guidance and mentorship from senior engineers to foster technical growth and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Programming Expertise
- 3 yearsof experience in full-stack development usingJavaScript (React Redux Angular) TypeScript and backend technologies (Python or Rust).
- Strong understanding ofC/C and Pythonfor system-level programming.
- Proficiency inJava and shell scripting languages.
Software Development & Architecture
- Experience developing deploying and maintainingcontainerized applications (Docker Kubernetes).
- Knowledge ofconfiguration management tools (Git etc.).
- Hands-on experience withbug tracking and issue management tools (JIRA etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
Security & Compliance
- Understanding of secure coding practices and software assurance principles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain aDoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Education
Bachelors degree in systems engineering computer science computer engineering electrical engineering mathematics physics or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience withhigh-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Familiarity withcloud-native architectures and DevSecOps principles.
- Familiarity with gaming engines such as Unity.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks encryption or secure communications.

Relocation assistance available for this position.
Salary for this position will range from $90000-$120000 depending on experience skills and education.
