Job Description
Oral Surgeon at Yonge/Sheppardis looking for an experienced Certified Dental Assistant.
POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced Dental Assistant - can be trained in oral surgery procedures - be willing to learn
- Must have minimum of 1yearof experience
HOURS:Mon to Fri - Usually 8-5 (earlier as 7:30-3)
COMPENSATION:
- $25-30 depending on experience and performance
- Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
- Sterilizing instruments
- Assisting dentist with oral surgery procedures
- Taking x-rays of patients teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keeppatients mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording theinformation for dentists reference
- Advising patients on dental care oralhygiene and plaque control programs
- Making patients of all ages feel comfortable beforeduring and after dental treatment
