Civil Engineer I - Entry Level or Intern
Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm located in New Berlin and Burlington Wisconsin with a family-focused culture. Our core business includes civil engineering surveying construction observation and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology inspired design and client-centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience. We are willing to train a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
- BS in Civil Engineering or currently enrolled in Civil Engineering courses or related field of studies is preferred.
- Passed FE exam or EIT registration preferred.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Essential Responsibilities:
Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:
- Completes various civil engineering tasks assigned by a Project Engineer Manager or Land Surveyor and work under their direct supervision
- Work with and seek guidance from experienced staff on assigned tasks
- Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D to assist in the preparation of surveys site plans grading plans utility plans construction layout and staking
- Design components of site civil municipal and/or transportation projects with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software
- Prepare reports and permits for site civil transportation and municipal projects
- Perform construction observation or field services as requested
- Communicate with project teams in all offices
- Limited responsibilities in directing staff on project-specific tasks
- Limited communication with clients peers and agencies on project-specific tasks
- Have the ability to provide overtime to meet project deadlines
- Maintain insurability under the Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle to conduct business
- Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the Lynch & Associates team
- Provide support for proposal requests contract preparation and assist in project management responsibilities.
- Assist in project budgeting and tracking.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
