Job Description
Bolton Clarke Groupone of Australias largest independent not-for-profit providers of home care retirement living and residential aged care operating nationally and internationally. Bolton Clarke Residential group now has 88 Aged Care Homes across QLD NSW VIC SA & WA with the inclusion of the Allity McKenzie & Acacia Living Group.
Our beautiful Bolton Clarke Farnorha community is centrally located in a quiet pocket of Westcourt in Cairns in the tropical Far North. The community provides high-quality aged care in a friendly secure and comfortable residential environment.
We are after our next Cook to join the team (for a fixed term of 3 months full time hours with a possibility of going permanent)
Duties include:
- Taking direction from the Chef Manager
- Assisting with cooking high quality nutritious meals for our senior residents
- Ensuring all food is prepared cooked and served in accordance with legislation
To be successful you will have:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar
- Food Handling and Hygiene certificate
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen within aged care or a hospital preferable
- Bulk cooking experience highly desirable
- Experience with texture modified food advantageous
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport Birth Certificate etc)
- Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
- 2025 Flu Vaccinations
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
