Our Technical Advisory and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes collaboration with key Defence entities including Defence Digital Group (DDG) National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) and branches across the Navy Army and Air Force.
We are looking for industry experts to join C4 Design which establishes network standards and structures across the joint force through Mission Engineering principles and extensive communication and network proficiency. We are recruiting a C4 Co-Design Intelligence and Targeting specialist for this joint project based in Canberra to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders on all design activities.
- Conduct mission engineering and develop mission threads.
- Create innovative C4 design artefacts to enhance Joint Force integration.
- Apply MBSE for traceable repeatable evidence-based designs.
- Ensure coherence by working across C4 Design teams and assurance functions.
- Partner with the C4 Standards Team to formalize design artefacts into Standards Profiles.
- Support capability programs acquisitions and sustainment activities for compliance.
- Deliver written and verbal briefs for C4 Design assurance.
The successful candidate must have Defence industry experience coupled with:
- Expertise in one or more areas:
Intelligence & Targeting (including PED PV security clearance required)
IAMD (Air & Space Domains)
Multi-Domain Strike
Uncrewed Systems Machine Learning AI
Maritime Domain (including Undersea Warfare)
Force-Level Logistics & Health Information Requirements
- Experience designing C4 capabilities
- Mission Engineering expertise specifically in mission engineering thread development
- Experience in Systems of Systems Engineering and/or MBSE
- Familiarity with NATO Architecture Framework v4.0
Our work is highly complex and confidential; applicants must be Australian citizens with preferably a TS(PV) security clearance. Additionally compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases this may impose restrictions individuals who are dual citizens permanent residency or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
