Job Description
We are seeking a Security Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of security operations at a designated site ensuring strict adherence to security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) federal regulations and agency-specific policies. This position plays a critical role in the protection of classified and sensitive information and equipment ensuring compliance with NRO and other federal agency requirements. The Site Security Lead acts as the primary liaison between the organization and government site security personnel and provides guidance to the on-site security team. Responsible for foreign visitor and facility access special and restricted access programs briefing and debriefing individuals on requirements and responsibilities of privileged access to sensitive programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the site security team ensuring enforcement of established security SOPs and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with Government site security officials to ensure coordination and compliance with contract security obligations.
- Manage and protect classified and sensitive information systems and equipment developed by or entrusted to the organization.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of NRO security policies classification management and government oversight requirements for the proper classification access handling storage and destruction of sensitive materials.
- Develop implement and analyze security programs to ensure compliance with federal laws regulations and directives.
- Oversee and ensure coordination with MS&O security for cafeteria badging and site access control.
- Direct and manage all aspects of security clearance processing including:
- Prescreening and verification
- Clearance upgrades/downgrades
- Crossovers of existing clearances
- Continuous vetting and periodic reinvestigations
- Ensure proper training readiness and performance of all site security personnel.
- Support audits inspections and investigations as required by federal agencies or contract requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelors degree and 48 years of relevant experience or Masters degree with 26 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in industrial physical and information security operations.
- Knowledge of federal regulations such as the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and NISPOM.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classified information including classification access storage handling and destruction per applicable laws and regulations.
- Experience with clearance management including prescreening periodic reinvestigations and processing crossovers and upgrades/downgrades.
- Familiarity with systems such as DISS NBIS or JPAS.
- Ability to support or lead foreign visitor access special/restricted access programs and conduct briefings/debriefings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with internal teams and government stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more of the following: ISP (Industrial Security Professional) SFPC (Security Fundamentals Professional Certification) SAPPC or similar credentials.
- Understanding of security software tools and systems used to track and manage security incidents and personnel access.
- Experience developing and overseeing corporate asset protection or threat mitigation programs is highly desirable especially at senior levels.
- Working knowledge of data protection protocols security strategy development and risk mitigation planning.
- Strong skills in report writing documentation of incident responses security briefings and audits.
- Familiarity with DoD IC or NRO security requirements and policies.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63700.00 - $115150.00
