Description

OAA Orthopaedic Specialists in Allentown Pennsylvania is seeking a fellowship trained Non-Operative Sports Medicine physician. Collaborate with subspecialty fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons and dedicate your work to providing high-quality patient care to athletes and active individuals of all ages focusing on rehabilitation injury prevention and performance optimization through non-surgical methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized non-surgical treatment plans including physical therapy injections bracing and rehabilitation programs.
  • Perform in-office procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and other regenerative medicine techniques.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention performance optimization and return-to-play protocols.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays MRIs and ultrasounds to guide treatment decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with medical standards and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Must possess or be eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license.
  • Must hold a current board certification in Family Medicine or in the final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification
  • Must possess or be eligible for DEA license
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in sports medicine
