You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailTravel Rate: $94 Local Position: $86 Nights 36 hours 7:00p-7:30a every other weekend no call rotating holidays Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services for in patient and out patients of all ages. Job Functions 1. Performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. 2. Evaluates treats and re-assesses patients of all ages following physician s order. 3. Functions independently and also assists Physicians and Nursing in the determination and application of therapeutic modalities. 4. Assists in the orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel. 5. Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team. 6. Provides patient and family education. 7. Participates in CQI initiatives. 8. Participates in departmental education activities. 9. Transports patients. 10. Assists the Director with special projects equipment and stock inventory control. 11. Maintains and supports patient s rights to care privacy and respect. 12. Other duties as assigned from time to time. Minimum Qualifications Education - High school graduate or equivalent required. - Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. Experience - Previous RT experience strongly preferred. - Previous patient care experience preferred. - Appropriate clinical rotations during the RT program are considered as satisfactory experience. Licensure and/or Certification - Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist. - RRT or CRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. - BLS healthcare provider required. - NRP certification required.
