Job Description
Speech Language Pathologist Travel/Contract Assignment (PRN Block Available)
Location: Montebello CA 90640
Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $50 $55/hr
Job Type: Travel/Local Contract (PRN Block options available for flexible scheduling)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct evaluations to identify speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Therapy Implementation: Provide therapy to improve communication skills including speech articulation language comprehension and expression voice fluency and social communication.
- Swallowing Therapy: Address swallowing disorders by developing and implementing appropriate treatment strategies.
- Family and Caregiver Education: Educate family members and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home.
- Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals such as doctors and audiologists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations treatment plans progress and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with a diverse patient population is advantageous.
