Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis in California. This role offers flexible 12-hour shifts (day or night) in a fast-paced Med-Surg environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of recent experience a strong foundation in bedside care and confidence using EPIC.
Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver direct and indirect care to adult patients with a variety of acute medical conditions

Monitor vital signs administer medications and perform patient assessments

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans

Document all nursing interventions and changes in condition using EPIC EMR

Educate patients and families on care plans discharge instructions and recovery goals

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment in accordance with hospital protocols
-
Float to similar units within scope of practice as needed

Active California RN license (Required)

BLS certification (AHA Required)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg experience (Required)

Proficiency with EPIC EMR (Preferred)

Strong communication critical thinking and clinical documentation skills

Flexibility to work day or night shifts including weekends and holidays if needed
