Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger AP/AR payroll asset management and tax compliance
Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial and operational reports
Oversee and develop accounting staff providing coaching training and performance evaluations
Support capital planning cost reduction initiatives and financial decision-making
Develop departmental budgets and long-range financial forecasts
Analyze operational labor and financial metrics to provide actionable insights
Maintain strong relationships with external accounting firms lenders insurance providers and legal consultants
Ensure ongoing GAAP compliance and participate in cost-control and efficiency improvement initiatives
Collaborate with the President and leadership team to support growth strategy
Build cross-functional relationships across operations sales and other departments
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Accounting required
Minimum 7 20 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial leadership roles
CPA license preferred
Prior experience in the waste logistics or transportation industries strongly preferred
Proven leadership communication and strategic planning skills
