Clean prepare and paint boilers and parts. Mix all paint products and perform functions with little or no supervision.
Requirements
FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
- Clean and inspect parts prior to painting
- Do all required masking on areas not to be painted
- Paint the boilers and all parts with the acceptable quality of finish
- Follow all procedures for a quality lasting paint surface
- Follow proper guidelines for storage and inventory of chemicals and paints
- Be able to mix and spray all products used
- Keep equipment clean and work area clean
- Perform routine maintenance on paint booth and paint equipment
- Perform other related duties as required
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be capable of following verbal and/or written instructions
- Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
- Able to work from ladders and scaffolding
- Able to bend stoop twist and squat
- Must be able to work in semi-awkward positions
- Working knowledge of and proper use of all safety equipment
- Must have knowledge of MSDS information as it pertains to chemicals and paints and know where they are located
- Ability to retain information with regard to chemicals and paint materials
- No allergic reactions to paint dust or other related paint materials
- Be able to determine the proper surface condition for acceptance of paint and prepare if required
- Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint
