You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs the Principal Clinician- Genomic Diagnostics based on a 1 year FTC you will provide subject matter expertise within key workstreams internally and influence the wider ecosystem at both national and international levels to maximise our impact for participants patients and the NHS.
The primary purpose of this role is to work closely with the Healthcare Genomics Service (HGS) advising the service leadership team and supporting squads and teams in planning developing and releasing safe well-researched rare disease and cancer-related diagnostic products and services.

For this role we are seeking a proactive dynamic clinician with extensive experience in diagnostic use of genomics within the NHS to join our team from any clinical specialty background where genomics plays a key role.
This role requires a clinician who ideally is not only knowledgeable and experienced in but also passionate about driving advancements in diagnostic genomics and healthcare informatics as well as possessing a proven track record in clinical leadership able to zoom into the detail of our products and processes and back out into strategic service planning.
Due to the nature of the role and the skillset required we would consider this role on a secondee basis and are happy to be flexible in the way this is undertaken.
Qualifications :
Medical degree: Genetics or equivalent

Blended working model
Genomics England operates a blended working model as we know our people appreciate the flexibility that hybrid working can bring. We expect most people to come into the office a minimum of 2 times each month. However this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader. There is no expectation that people will return to the office full time unless they want to however some of our roles require full time on site attendance e.g. lab teams reception team.
Our teams and squads have and will continue to reflect on what works best for them to work together successfully and have the freedom to design working patterns to suit beyond the minimum. Our office locations are: Canary Wharf Cambridge and Leeds.
