Job Summary
Our pharmacy micro-fulfillment centers are the pharmacies of the future! What is pharmacy micro-fulfillment Its a pharmacy network of facilities that dispenses and ships a variety of prescriptions to Walgreens retail stores. Were using innovative robotic technology in a central pharmacy environment. Together were making lives healthier and simpler by reaching thousands of patients with life-saving medications each day.
The Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing order processing support for fulfillment and/or provide assistance in the preparation and distribution of prescription medication via the use of the fulfillment system. Follows standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
We are currently offering a $1500 Sign-On Bonus!
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains proficiency in all medication dispensing areas and workstations
- May assist with department training and new hire support.
- Prepares bulk medication for loading into automated dispensing system.
- Performs manual packing duties including but not limited to packing and shipping completingorders verifying accuracy based on conformance to quality standards/specifications andpreparing packages for mail.
- Affixes labels to the appropriate containers.
- Conducts cycle counts and put away.
- Resolves order delay reporting as well as upgrade expedite and cancels orders.
- May also be responsible for stocking non-pharmaceutical products.
- Other responsibilities as judgement or necessity dictate.
- Must obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain anactive technician license or certification.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
- Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration without restrictions in good standing with StateBoard of Pharmacy if required in the State in which the position is located
- Must be fluent in reading writing and speaking English.
- Basic knowledge of and skills using MS Windows MS Office Suite and/or other similaroperating/software programs
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers including meetingquality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicationin a diplomatic and confidential manner
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (pounds) in a repetitive motion with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail fulfillment or call centerenvironment.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers including meeting qualityand productivity standards for services.
- Required certification/registration as a Pharmacy Technician by state as granted by the state Boardof Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification agency.
- Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM touch typing formattingdocuments).
