Job Description
The Painter and Decorator is responsible for painting varnishing wallpaper and other protective and decorative materials to interior and exterior walls and surfaces.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties
- To repair and maintain all painted areas of the hotel rooms public areas and back of house areas.
- To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance for all areas of the Hotel as laid down in procedures.
- To assist with repairing fixtures fittings and general appliances for hotel guest and staff.
- To carry out daily inspections of the building in accordance with daily maintenance procedures.
- To ensure that the workshop area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- To have a complete working knowledge of the Hotel including geographical layout technical services security devices and safety routines.
- To monitor the storage and issue of all materials equipment and spares. To maintain a par level stock in conjunction with management.
- To inspect and maintain all maintenance equipment to ensure that it is in safe and working order and to either report or repair any defects found.
- To control the safety and security of all hotel tools.
- To ensure the security of masters sub master and maintenance keys.
- To know and understand the hotel product and design.
- To be flexible throughout the working day so as to meet demands from the guest.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required.
