Job Title: Fleet Technician II
Location: Seattle WA (Onsite)
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $7500
Tool Allowance: $2000 annually
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Level B Fleet Technicians to perform preventative maintenance minor diagnostics and mid-level repairs on a mixed fleet of vehicles. This role supports higher-level technicians and plays an essential part in keeping our vehicles safe operational and compliant. Ideal for techs looking to grow their experience in diesel systems diagnostics and field response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance fluid checks tire rotations and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair basic mechanical and electrical issues under guidance from senior techs
- Inspect suspension steering exhaust and safety systems for wear and function
- Record maintenance activities repair history and parts usage in fleet management software
- Support in-field service calls and vehicle swaps when issues arise
- Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of fleet vehicles
- Assist A-Level Technicians in complex diagnostics and repairs
- Learn and utilize vehicle technology systems including Wi-Fi telematics and tablets
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to a team-focused maintenance environment
Must Haves / Requirements Summary:
- 2-4 years of hands-on vehicle maintenance experience
- Experience with diesel engines air brakes and suspension systems
- Basic understanding of diagnostic tools and repair procedures
- Valid WA Drivers License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- CDL with Passenger Endorsement is a plus (training available)
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and adapt to schedule needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- HD ASE certification is a plus
- Familiarity with diesel diagnostics software (WABCO Insight etc.)
- HVAC Certification preferred
- Basic computer skills and comfort using fleet management platforms
- Eagerness to grow into advanced technician roles
