Job Description

Requisition Summary

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday on Evening Shift. The Area Manager will reside at the McKinney TX location and report to the Assistant Plant Manager. The Area Manager is responsible for assisting in the development of the strategic direction for the Plant in support of Dynacrafts vision and goals as well as supporting the Truck Plants and Aftermarket Department. This person will be focused on leading the team responsible for building parts being supplied to the Truck Plants across North America. This person must be passionate to develop this new technology open to working with multiple divisions departments and individuals while being creative and visionary to help lead our production environment to the next level of excellence.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily production and distribution flow.
  • Assure that all Dynacraft Standards are maintained and improved throughout all operations these include but are not limited to Safety Quality Efficiency Process and Procedural standards.
  • Work closely with multiple departments and teams to develop the cells production. This will include but not limited to assembly processes assembly layout and assembly standards to continually elevate the quality safety and efficiency of this unique and evolutionary product.
  • Provide consistent and reliable supervision of personnel; assign duties in accordance with established schedules and customer requirements.
  • Train and evaluate performance of direct reports; provide regular feedback; prepare employee evaluations; recommend disciplinary action as may be appropriate.
  • Provide Plant management with timely information regarding performance and changes.
  • Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Participate in projects related to training and leadership development.
  • Benchmark other PACCAR locations and non-PACCAR locations for best practices.
  • Perform projects and assignments as required.
  • Participate in special assignments.
  • Complete root cause analysis documentation for quality related issues and process/product audits.
  • Must be able to withstand working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Be able to work 10-hour days.

Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth Peterbilt and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the companys truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville KY and McKinney TX.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP/RF Operations preferred.
  • Experience managing supervisor level positions preferred.

Education

  • HighSchool Diploma required.
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Masters Degree and Six Sigma Certification desired.
