The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Applications for the following position:
Job title: Water Maintenance Crew Leader
Department: Water Production and Collection
Opening Date: June 9 2025
Closing Date: June 23 2025
Job Type: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Salary: Entry level pay - $18.06 / per hr.
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm (Monday - Friday)
(Subject to Dept. Heads discretion - hours may vary)

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to oversee work crews and ensure all job tasks are completed. This is accomplished by assigning work orders monitoring progress and duties completed repairing sewer and water leaks performing sewer and water taps and digging for lines. Other duties include keeping inventory of all supplies and equipment maintaining yards and vehicles and operating heavy equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency (GED)
- Over 3 years in the water department
- Class B water license (preferred)
- Must possess or obtain within 24 months of employment a State of Texas TCEQ Class B Distribution or Water Operator License and a Class II Wastewater Collection License or Class B Wasterwater Treatment Operator License.
Pre-employment requirements
- Valid Texas Drivers License required
- Pre-Employment Physical & Non-Drug Test
