You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing Navy crews with hull specific Training and/or Familiarization/Indoctrination in both the formal classroom and shipboard hands-on environment in support of DDG 51 Class ships.
Primary areas of instruction will include but are not limited to: Operation maintenance and doctrinal application of DDG 51 Class propulsion and auxiliary systems.
In addition the candidate will serve as training and Fam/Indoc programs propulsion subject matter expert and will further play a major role in evaluating the material condition and training readiness of Bath built ships in preparation for Light-Off-Assessments (LOAs) and crew certification.
Specific responsibilities include:
Sr. Instructor Engineering
The candidate will be required to travel on reasonable notice to support BIW ships at PRE-COM crew detachment sites (Norfolk San Diego). Travel away from home would be typically limited to three (3) week duration four (4) to six (6) weeks per year.
