The advancement and delivery of top-notch effective healthcare education is at the heart of what we do! Your commitment to building collaboration and trust will provide counseling and support services under the supervision of a licensed clinician in the Rocky Mountain University Counseling Clinic (RMUCC)
Core Functions:
- Carry a consistent caseload of clients seeking counseling and therapy services through RMUCC
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and staff meetings
- Actively engage in community outreach activities to promote the RMUCC at health fairs conventions and other mental health organizations.
- Adhere to all Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and clinic scheduling and reporting under the Clinic Director
- Assist in the collection and maintenance of documentation as appropriate and required for the clinic and external stakeholder reporting requirements including grant funding and clinical contracts (e.g. virtual academies).
- Provide administrative support for student recruitment and retention to the RMUCC outcome assessments certification activities and clinician recruitment and retention activities
- Assist other RMU clinic staff as needed including fellow student Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselors supervisors and faculty
- General office duties such as filing copying scanning communication etc.
- Assist with other University-related matters as needed
Background/Expertise:
- Graduated and licensed as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
- Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to FERPA and HIPAA regulations in all aspects of client care and documentation.
- Possess a developing knowledge of best practices in assessment diagnosis treatment planning clinical documentation clinical supervision and tele-mental health counseling.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and preparation for future licensure is essential.
- Should be familiar with or willing to learn the use of standard office equipment and an electronic medical record system.
- Be culturally aware and sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential along with a willingness to learn and use new technologies.
