Job Description
The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking afull-time board-certified/eligibleEmergency Medicine Physician for our emergency rooms on both campuses of the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis MN.
About the Appointment:
- Rank: Assistant Professor
- Track: Clinician Track
- 0.50 FTE of the position requires clinical time in the Emergency Departments at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East and West Bank Campuses
- Flexibility of schedule (block shifts days/week etc.)
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Emergency Medicine residency training program
- Board eligible/certified with theAmerican Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
- Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Pay and Benefits:
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary aligned with clinical effort is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $185000 commensurate with experience qualifications and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

- University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) is a 1932 licensed bed facility
- UMMC is a Level III Trauma Center Stroke Center and Level I Cardiac Center
- Approximately 50000 patients are seen annually between the two campuses
