- Develop and produce daily/ weekly/ periodic reports to various company departments used for; Analysis of site operations client billing and payroll generation
- Align operations activities and performance to meet stated client deliverables and performance metrics.
- Ensures that direct reports comply with the Site Management Checklist and Company policies.
- Develops and maintains a sound working relationship with clients managers supervisors and associates.
- Directs and evaluates all site activities.
- Implements/apply Engineering philosophies such as:
- Lean Manufacturing
- JIT delivery process and line balancing
- MOST and MTM standards development
- TQM
- Cost Analysis and Improvement of methodologies
- Ergonomic improvements
- Utilizes technical skills to improve or modify existing data modeling and production strategy.
- Establishes and put into place immediate corrective actions for underperforming operations work cells workgroups and/or individuals.
- Communication with the DO and HR Mgr. in matters of Human Resources health and safety.
- Identifies performs assessments and assists in closure of new business opportunities.
- Assist DO with pricing strategies compensation programs and tactical operational approaches for the worksite.
- Perform evaluations of current employees and as required enacts personnel performance improvement and Progressive Discipline plans.
- Ensures compliance with Workers Compensation Policy and Procedures. The first point of contact for Workers Compensation Department and the treating clinic. Develop light-duty positions for injured employees.
- Provides direct involvement and supports direct reports for service pricing process improvement and client satisfaction initiatives.
- Develops measures and report details of site profitability and improvement initiatives.
- Support strategy of managing to P&L statement and develop a growth plan which positively impacts the financial viability of client site operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Direct reports may include but are not limited to Line Leads and Administrative Assistant(s).
Qualifications
Must speak English and Spanish
- College degree in Industrial Engineering Industrial Management or Distribution & Logistics Management is preferred but will accept candidates with an appropriate level of experience.
- Desired Experience in the packaging of garments or single-piece items.
- Must exhibit the ability to identify and implement work methods improvements.
- Minimum 5 yrs.
- Must have experience in directly managing a labor force in excess of 20 associates.
- Experience with single-unit packaging display and bulk packaging packaging stations.
- Experience in managing workforce Health and Safety.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word. Access Visio Project and other high-level applications are preferred.
- Proven track record of Managerial success. (References required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Bilingual is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills are a requirement.
