Position Description:Work as a member of the Residence Life team to provide an excellent living experience for students through the effective management of housing selection and assignment processes collaborative teamwork and exceptional customer Director of Residence Life will evaluate the performance of this job in accordance with the provisions of the University Policy Manual. Qualifications and Requirements: - Some college credit and/or relevant work experience are required; a college degree is preferred.
- Administrative assistant housing and/or higher education experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate in both form and substance that affects a positive and professional image for the University and the Residence Life office.
- The ability to craft professional written and verbal communication with students parents and campus partners is required.
- The ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from individuals and groups including coworkers parents and students.
- Must be punctual professional and detail-oriented.
- Ability to use computer programs and other technologies to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to learn and adapt to changes in software products and other technological advancements.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students faculty staff and the community.

- Administer room assignments for the fall and spring semesters.
- Manage Summer & Christmas housing assignments.
- Managing key software systems: THD (Housing software) AMAG (Exterior Door Access) Persona (Interior Door Access) Google Docs Google Sheets Colleague
- Consulting with students about housing options
- Creating assigning and approving applications
- Processing off-campus housing petition forms and assignments
- Setting up room selection processes
- Managing waiting lists for various areas based on need
- Assisting students in the assignment & selection processes as needed
- Actively monitor and manage office communications including emails and office phone calls.
- Open & close the office at designated times.
- Coordinating with IT and other Residence Life staff managing student access to exterior and interior doors of buildings using AMAG and Persona software systems.
- Request RD access to create key cards and unlock codes in Persona.
- Assist in maintaining an updated Residence Life website.
- Partner with the Financial Services office as needed to ensure housing bills are accurate and timely.
- Collaborate with various offices to ensure appropriate cross-functional communication.
- Be available during various prospective student orientations to make presentations and/or answer questions (including limited weekends)
- Be available during check-in periods to assist with walk-in students and any other placement issues.
- Support RDs in their roles: provide a listening ear advice and reminders of procedures.
- Assist in student email communications regarding Residence Life initiatives and processes.
- Create and manage Residence Lifes roster in partnership with the RD staff.
- Provide information to US Census Bureau personnel who come to campus.
- Respond to rental verification requests from apartment complexes.
- Coordinate housing for approved Emotional Support Animals.
- Manage lease agreements with married and graduate students.
- Coordinate housing with study abroad students.
- Other duties as assigned consistent with the achievement of the Universitys mission.
