Job Title: Machine Operator / Welder - Fabrication Shop - 1st Shift
Responsible for operating a weld machine on a production line welding a variety of pipe while meeting daily production goals.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints/sketches and prepare material accordingly
- Adjust weld parameters and machine settings to ensure weld(s) conform with all specifications
- Inspect weld(s) for any non-conformance missing welds and repair or rework as necessary also alerting other employees if necessary
- Perform daily machine maintenance
- Inspect pipe for any quality issues and that end prep is correct
- Strong math skills are frequently used
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education / Work Experience:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 2-3 years of welding experience is required with skill levels to obtain a 2G.
- Basic computer skills are required.
