Who are we looking for
Were looking for aProject Directorto join our Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Region to support our growth in Canberra.
Reporting to the Business Group Leaderyouwill work with our clients on key programs with a focus on Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) delivery within the Energy Mining and Resources and Infrastructure sectors across ACT. These are significant multidisciplinary programs which tie our technical capabilities into our execution services for major project delivery.
You will also drive business growth using your industry knowledge whilst leveraging off established relationships.
As we look to support both private and public sectors utilise a suite of execution models to target project delivery and optimised performance you can play a key role in enabling and accelerating our clients success.
This role is a full time permanent position which will be based in our Canberra office.
This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Working with the Market Leader to support and lead business development identifying and capturing opportunities for growth and major bid preparation.
- Potential for full project life-cycle delivery from front end studies through project execution to handover Implementing and ensuring compliance of GHD Health and Safety systems and practices.
- Accountable for project delivery under models including EPCM IPMT (integrated project management teams) CMS (construction management services) and OE services.
- Providing project oversight including:
- Planning and preparation of all project reporting anddeliverables for internal and external clients
- Provide Project Management expertise and guidance to clients and internal GHD stakeholders
- Providing leadership and guidance to a project delivery team
- Supporting design documentation and construction work across all aspects of engineering through to project execution
- Managing project risks and associatedcontingencies.
- Working with joint venture and alliance partners to co-deliver in integrated teams.
What you will bring to the team:
- 20 years relevant experience in major project delivery.
- Experience in leading EPCM tenders and forming and leading EPCM teams and programs is required.
- Experience in advising and being accountable as a member of an alliance or joint venture
- Experience in key industries of energy transition mining and resources and/or infrastructure (water) is preferable.
- Demonstrated successful business development experience
- Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written

- Bachelors degree qualifications preferably in an engineering or construction discipline.
