In this role the ideal candidate will be very responsive to internal customers ensuring the availability of IT systems within the facility so that all departments have access to the information and tools that they need to effectively perform their responsibilities. WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Troubleshoot IT Issues:Quickly identify and resolve IT failures to restore services efficiently.
• Manage IT Administration:Oversee patch management software updates user accounts and maintain an accurate inventory of IT components.
• Documentation Management:Provide and maintain accurate documentation for all IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Infrastructure Monitoring:Monitor and maintain our IT infrastructure including switches servers and client systems.
• Project Leadership:Lead IT projects encompassing new installations and modifications of existing equipment and systems to enhance business processes.
• Continuous Improvement:Drive progress within the IT team by actively seeking opportunities to improve our IT practices and policies.
• Support: ENG-IT projects and maintenance activities - backup and restore software systems; test hardware and software functions; perform database backup and compressions; install network components and connections. Also support plant tech-related events such as condition-based inspections of machines in the facility.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and tools.
• Experience with PCs MS Windows and Michelin software applications including abilities for system analysis backup and restoration preferred. A plus if the individual has current job exposure to one or more of these disciplines.
• Experience with Rockwell software such as Asset Centre RSLogix5000 FactoryTalk ME/SE and FactoryTalk Linx preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Open Automation (OPC) software preferred.
• Understanding of network communication protocols such as HDLC and MODBUS preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with virtual server backup/restore solution such as VEEAM preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with deployment and troubleshooting of radio communications and solutions preferred.
• Troubleshooting Skills:Proven ability toquickly identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Administrative Proficiency:Comprehensive understanding of IT system administration functions.
• Responsibility:High accountability for monitoring and managing IT systems in a production environment.
• Installation Experience:Proven experience with new installations modifications and repairs of IT equipment.
• Communication:Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive Mindset:A proactive approach to problem-solving and driving continuous improvement.

Additional information:

• Normal shift is days must be willing to be on call.
• Must be able to work without direct supervision.
