Job Title: Sales Floor Employee
Reports to: Store Manager Assistant Manager Floor Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
*This position is part time and located in Brandon SD. Most shifts will be Monday through Friday daytime.
Summary
The sales floor employee supports the smooth operation of the sales floor by being visible to customers and providing positive and friendly customer service. The sales floor employee helps maintain merchandise in the different departments by assisting with the receiving and stocking process and operates a cash register when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet all customers with a smile and friendly attitude
- Stock shelves counters and/or tables as directed
- Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales
- Stamp mark or tag merchandise with assigned prices
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ad
- Obtain merchandise requested by customers
- Ability to answer customer questions regarding location price and use of merchandise
- Clean shelves counters tables aisles fixtures displays etc.
- Operate a cash register when needed
- Maintain a neat and clean work space
- Promote Lewis initiatives and represent Lewis in a positive manner to our customers and communities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (or in progress)
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
- Basic math and computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to constantly move about the sales floor to arrange and stock items
- Must be able to constantly operate a cash register
- Ability to lift/move items up to 10 lbs constantly up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally with or without accommodation
