Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and flexible Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in the fast-paced perioperative environment and is confident in caring for patients across the lifespan-from neonates to older adults. The RN will collaborate closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and the broader surgical team to ensure safe high-quality and efficient patient care throughout the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient procedures

Guide and support OR Technicians and other surgical staff during procedures

Maintain compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and infection control protocols

Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care

Contribute to Performance Improvement initiatives unit meetings and in-services

Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to peers when needed

Must be available to take call as scheduled

Current and valid California RN license (Required)

BLS certification (AHA) Required upon hire and must be maintained

ACLS certification (AHA) Required within 30 days of hire

PALS certification (AHA) Required within 30 days of hire

Minimum 1 year of perioperative/OR nursing experience (Required)

CNOR certification (AORN) Preferred
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Must be able to take on-call assignments and respond within required timeframe
