This role is responsible for selling office automation equipment such as copier machines digital duplicators and safes within Kericho Bomet and Nandi counties. The focus is on promoting these products to schools higher learning institutions like TVETs and universities as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
The ideal candidate is self-driven results-oriented and has a good understanding of the local market. A solid background in sales is essential for this role along with strong communication and relationship-building skills. This position involves identifying new business opportunities while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers.
What you will do:
Key responsibilities.
You will actively promote and sell a range of office automation equipment including copier machines and digital duplicators to businesses and organizations in Kericho Bomet and Nandi counties.
You will develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed set targets.
You will identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling networking and referrals.
You will build and maintain strong long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients.
You will conduct product demonstrations and presentations to highlight key features and benefits.
You will prepare and present professional sales proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
You will negotiate terms and close sales deals efficiently and effectively.
You will provide reliable after-sales support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
You will stay informed about market trends competitor products and industry developments.
You will prepare and submit timely sales reports forecasts and updates.
You will collaborate with team members and other departments to support company goals and ensure seamless operations.
You will maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
About you:
Must-haves.
You have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university.
You have a minimum of five 5 years of proven experience in sales and marketing with a strong emphasis on office automation equipment.
You possess a valid Class BCE driving license and maintain a clean driving record.
You are proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
You have excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
You understand the business environment and customer needs within the Kericho Bomet and Nandi counties.
You are customer-focused and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
Nice to have.
You hold a Diploma in Sales and Marketing which will be a strong added advantage.
You have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
You demonstrate strong organizational and time management abilities.
You can work independently and also collaborate effectively as part of a team.
You are proactive and take initiative with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
