Job Description
Are you an experienced Engineer looking for a new challenge Look no further! Valeo Foods UK a manufacturer of some of the UKs best loved snacks and confectionery is looking for a new member of the team!
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across site equipment.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and corrective tasks using the CMMS system.
- Support production teams with technical expertise during breakdowns and changeovers.
- Maintain compliance with site standards including PSSR LOLER Legionella and GMP.
- Monitor and manage utilities including boilers compressors and effluent systems.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
- Liaise with contractors and issue permits to work (PTW) as required.
- Record accurate maintenance data and complete documentation to audit-ready standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers.
Qualifications :
- Recognised Engineering Qualification (e.g. HNC BTEC NVQ Level 3 or above).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualified.
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments.
- Strong fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Familiarity with compliance systems (e.g. PPMs risk assessments water testing).
- Computer literate (CMMS Microsoft Office).

Additional Information :
Salary: up to 47000
Hours: Rotating shifts Monday to Friday (Days: 06:0014:00 / Afternoons: 14:0022:00) Alternate Saturdays 4 hours
