Job Description

Our IT organization is seeking an Enterprise Architecture Operations Manager. This is a new position.
This individual manages the architecture review and governance processes related to technology requests within the organization. This role involves coordinating and facilitating various governance activities ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with enterprise architecture standards and supporting the overall technology governance framework. The Enterprise Architecture Operations Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the EA governance process ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing among stakeholders. This is a highly technical position requiring outstanding organizational communications and presentations skills.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee EA review and governance process for technology requests from across the organization including pre-meeting preparations conducting TRB and ARB meetings and post-meeting follow-ups.
Coordinate and facilitate key discussions and meetings with stakeholders vendors and governance councils to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Monitor and manage the technology request backlog ensuring timely review and approval of requests.
Ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing across ARB and TRB groups including the dissemination of meeting materials minutes and follow-up actions.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of the enterprise architecture governance framework including updating architecture artifacts and guiding principles.
Revamp and manage messaging and communications related to EA processes and standards ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned with changes.
Provide support and guidance to stakeholders through monitoring the EA inbox facilitating knowledge transfers and addressing requests and inquiries.

The candidate must possess well-developed and demonstrated skills including:

Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines; ability to track and document technology requests and governance activities; proficiency in using project management tools and software.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively convey information to various stakeholders; experience in drafting meeting minutes follow-up emails and other communications.
Technical Acumen: Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and technology governance processes; ability to gather and interpret technical requirements from vendors and stakeholders; familiarity with application portfolio management.
Facilitation and Coordination: Skilled in facilitating meetings and discussions with diverse groups; ability to coordinate activities across different teams and stakeholders; experience in managing pre-meeting during-meeting and post-meeting activities.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess points of escalation and resolve issues; ability to identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements; proactive approach to monitoring and addressing stakeholder requests.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and standards; ability to revamp messaging and communications as needed; willingness to facilitate knowledge transfers and onboard new stakeholders.

Requirements include:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role in an enterprise IT organization.
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with enterprise architectureframeworks and standards such as TOGAF Zachman or similar.
5 years of experience in enterprise architecture IT governance or related field.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
