Johnson Memorial Hospital Stafford Springs CT $8000 Sign-on Bonus EligibleTrinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Medical Lab Tech or Medical Technologist located at Johnson Memorial Hospital to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for providing highly skilled analysis of blood fluids and tissue samples.
What you will do:
Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood urine spinal fluids and gastric juices.
Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopic techniques and procedures
Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Position Hours:
40 hours Day Shift rotating wknds/holidays
Requirements:
BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology
MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
