The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company - Government Material Team is seeking a Senior Material Cost Accountant to represent the team as a technical expert across sites and functions and to support initiatives with external customers and auditors. This position also offers the opportunity to lead and collaborate on efforts that develop the people processes and tools within the team in Hazelwood Missouri.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide expertise and guidance related to Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and data and proper alignment of material cost
Represent the team as a technical expert across sites and functions (such as Materials Management Program Finance and Supply Chain)
Lead the analysis interpretation and communication of complex business arrangements systems directives policies and regulatory requirements
Propose recommendations and provide expert guidance on new and existing accounting scenarios
Perform data validation review and approval for the work of the team
Manage the analysis and mitigation of compliance risk/errors of a complex nature and supports internal and external audits including business systems
Lead and/or participate in the development and deployment of highly complex changes to accounting tools and processes
Develop and deliver training
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher in accounting finance business or a related field
3 years of experience in accounting finance business or a related field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1 years of experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
1 years of experience with Enterprise Accounting System (EAS)
Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE) Enterprise Analysis System (EAS) Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR) Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)
Experience with CompassContract system
Experience with Government Online Data (GOLD)
Experience communicating across multi-functional organizations
Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas VLookups pivot tables charts filters and linking worksheets
