mPower is looking for a well-rounded Sr. Network Engineer to join our team. Our team consists of experts and professionals who have experience in management administration consulting and technology. This position seeks to implement positive mission-oriented change to deliver tangible operational results and to build and continuously improve the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts in designing implementing and maintaining clients network infrastructures across their Baltimore/Washington Locations.
- Analyze system requirements and lead design development and implementation activities.
- Incorporate new plans designs and systems into ongoing operations.
- Install configure and maintain network hardware and software components including firewalls and switches.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network issues and vulnerabilities.
- Manage network documentation including:
- Network diagrams
- Configurations
- Standard operating procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers assisting with network-related issues and inquiries.
- Create and update documentation including:
- Post-installation documentation packages
- Installation guides
- Configuration guides
- Technical reports
- Presentation materials
- Contribute to extended phases of monitoring and sustainment as capabilities are implemented in the Production environment.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications:
HS diploma or GED and 12 years of experience with network engineering support or bachelors degree and 5 years of experience with network engineering support or masters degree and 3 years of experience with network engineering support
Expert-level knowledge of network protocols routing switching and security principles.
Engineer-level experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices and technologies including Extreme Brocade Arista and Cisco networking devices.
Expert understanding of networking protocols (e.g. IPSEC HSRP BGP OSPF 802.11 QoS) Expert understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
Experience in implementing Enterprise Disaster Recovery Solutions.
Excellent customer service
Prior ticketing experience.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Experience with zero-trust network design
Experience with AWS and Azure
Experience with scripting/automating
Experience managing deploying and troubleshooting Linux server environments
CompTIA Security
Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNA Security)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
