In this role youll manage projects through the full lifecyclefrom planning and design to construction supportwhile mentoring junior engineers and fostering strong client relationships. Youll bring deep technical expertise in bridge and structural design and a collaborative mindset to help deliver innovative sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Youll also play a key role in shaping two of the regions most impactful infrastructure efforts: theI-81 Viaduct Projectand theOnondaga County/Micron Transportation Improvementsprojects that will redefine mobility and connectivity in Central New York.

Position Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial concept development through construction and closeout. Provide technical leadership and ensure quality and efficiency at every stage.
• Design Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge in bridge design to develop creative efficient solutions for a wide variety of bridge projects. Prepare design reports plans specifications and bid documents.
• Team Development: Mentor and support junior engineers sharing technical knowledge and project management best practices. Foster a collaborative growth-oriented team culture.
• Client Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Understand their goals and expectations to deliver solutions that exceed requirements and build long-term trust.

Skills Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• LicensedProfessional Engineer (PE)in New York State
• Minimum8 years of experiencein transportation design with a strong focus onNYSDOT/Federal Aidprojects
• Proficiency inAutoCAD/Civil 3Dand/orMicroStation/OpenRoads
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders

Estimated Salary Range: $97760 - $120640/year*
