Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers and make a real difference

Responsibilities

Make a real difference in the lives of young adults navigating the transition to adult substance misuse services.

Are you passionate about supporting young people Do you want to be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team helping young adults move confidently into adult services Were looking for compassionate motivated volunteers to join us asYoung Adult Transition Volunteers.

As a Young Adult Transition Volunteer youll support clients aged 1825 as they move from youth to adult drug and alcohol services. Working closely with families carers and professionals across health social care and criminal justice sectors youll help young adults feel supported understood and empowered.

What Youll Do:

  • Assist the Young Adult Transition Worker with triages and psycho-social interventions (training provided).
  • Provide harm reduction advice and emotional support.
  • Help clients engage with adult services and attend medical appointments.
  • Support young adults in accessing education training employment or meaningful activities.
  • Use creative and digital methods to build positive relationships and maintain engagement.
  • Represent the service at community events and support training for partner agencies.
  • Help with practical tasks like making phone calls to agencies or attending appointments.
